I capture nature’s strength in glass jars. The bronze bears are conserved in honey. Honey changes its texture with the passing of the seasons. In the winter, the pace of life is slower, nature rests and bears hibernate. Honey becomes denser in the cold, losing its transparency, hiding and protecting the hibernating bear. In the spring time, the warmth of the sun turns the honey transparent once more waking up with the bear. A ray of sunshine illuminates the transparent jar, turning it gold, transmitting the energy of the honey and the bear.
